Quick Start For The Bulls

bullsblockI must say that I’m impressed with how the Bulls have played 5 games into the NBA season.  They currently lead the division with a 3-2 record.  Now I know that 3-2 is good not great but the Bulls have struggled early the last couple seasons so I’m pretty excited about 3-2.  And if you look at who they have played the didn’t get that record playing the scrubs of the league.  They beat San Antonio, Cleveland (on the road), and Milwaukee.  They lost to Boston and Miami to pretty good teams.

The most impressive win thus far was last night’s victory in Cleveland.  It was a defensive battle that went back and forth down the stretch.  Rose was great and Luol Deng and Noah played perfect defense on Lebron as he drove for the potential winning bucket.  I heard him whining after the game about how he got fouled.  Of course I’m biased but I thought it was a great no call.  There was a little contact but they weren’t calling that all game long.  You can’t start calling it at the end just because King James is trying to win the game.

So lets celebrate the quick start while realizing that there are 77 more games to go.  After years of suffering in the post Jordan era, its nice to have team that is at the very least worth watching.
